Bishop Baraga Bookstore has served West Michigan as a major Catholic book resource to parishes and individuals for more than 30 years.

In 1995 the bookstore was renamed after Bishop Frederic Baraga who is widely known today for teaching and ministering to the native American Indians on the Grand River. Frederic Baraga was transferred in the early 1700's to the Diocese of Marquette where he became Bishop and is fondly called the ShowShoe priest, continuing his mission to the Indians in the Upper Peninsula. Today, Bishop Baraga is up for Canonization to become a saint.
